My wife was on my back about how I wanted to celebrate my 40th Birthday. So, I thought to look back on my creative journey up until this point, with an experience that celebrated it.
Adam Vol. 40 was more than a birthday celebration — it was an immersive exhibition designed to tell the story of my creative journey through culture, music, and personal evolution.
The concept transformed a milestone moment into a curated experience, inviting guests to walk through different eras of my life as if moving through chapters of an album. Each gallery space represented a defining period, paired with music projects that shaped my mindset and creative identity at the time. From early ambition to artistic discovery and personal growth, the environment blended nostalgia with storytelling.
I approached the event as an experiential art direction project — designing the visual language, spatial flow, and emotional pacing of the night. Artwork, typography, projections, and environmental details worked together to create a living archive where guests didn’t just observe the story; they moved through it.
I added a photo backdrop for guests to share on social.
To get my whole story, I even let guests taste my favourite burger.
